A Pap Smear - Papanicolau Smear; also known as the Pap test is a screening procedure for cervical cancer. It tests for the presence of Pre-cancerous or Cancerous cells on the cervix. The test itself involves collection of a sample of cells from a woman’s cervix (the end of the uterus that extends into the vagina) during a routine pelvic examination.

In the third quarter of year 2017 precisely the month of June, Steph Foundation sponsored ten (10) Pap Smear Test just to be sure that they are fine in that aspect and we are glad to announce that the results were okay as stated by the doctor.

The Mammogram Test is the test against breast cancer but is not enough diagnosis to prevent the possibility of breast cancer. A Mammogram test is a radiological screening test that is done to determine if there is a lump in the mammary gland or tissues in the female specie.

It is mostly common among women, though very limited in men there is a possibility. Age is a risk factor to having breast cancer in most African older women.
If a lump is found in the tissues, a procedure known as Histology is carried out to know if the cell is cancerous or not.
